Clouden called his sophomore season “a bit of a struggle” due to the lack of success.
“It was really frustrating for me to come out and compete every night for my team,” Clouden told Prep Hoops . “I felt like I could have done a better job of being consistent and playing to my full potential every night. One thing I learned from the seniors on my team was to not take any games for granted because when it’s over it’s over, you don’t want to look back and have any regrets. I want to know that I left everything that I had on the court.”
The 2018 prospect ranks No. 45 in Prep Hoops Florida rankings for his class.
Here’s how he would break down his own game?
“I am a strong scoring point guard that likes to feed my teammates. I love breaking down the defense and finding open teammates. I’m a very energetic player. I like to keep my team pumped and hyped while and I’m also a very aggressive defender. I’m looking to improve my decision making and midrange jump shot.”
After breaking his collarbone last summer while playing football, Clouden missed out on summer ball, but he debuted this year for head coach Rick Thorpe and SEBA Elite.
“We have had a strong season so far. I believe we can compete with anyone in the country. Coach Thorpe is definitely the best coach I have ever played for. He’s a great role model for us and has grown to be more like a father figure for a lot of us on the team. I have been working out with coach Thorpe off and on since I was in the 7th grade. I love playing for SEBA these guys are like my brothers we have really grown an unbreakable bond with each other.”
Currently, Clouden has an offer from Wyoming and interest from both South Florida and Stetson. Entering his junior season, further development in his game and leadership abilities will help him generate more interest from Division-I schools and some offers as well.
