The 6’6″, 195-pounder had this to say about his junior year.
“This past season was a major challenge. I mostly learned to keep fighting and competing. The older guys at Ely taught me how to be a leader, winner and we have this saying ‘you go hard in practice and the game will be easier'”
Here’s how Stampley would break down his game.
“I’m a defensive player and I play my role. I need to get better with my leadership skills and my offensive game.”
He’s playing his first season on the AAU circuit for the Miami Suns. Stampley averaged 16.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks this past weekend in the latest tournament.
“It’s going very well. We had a very successful weekend by going 7-0 and winning the Bigfoot Hoops Orlando summer classic.”
Stampley has yet to receive his first offer or interest, but this kid is on track to be a solid contributor once again this season for Blanche Ely. College programs need to start giving him looks. At the very least, Division-II and Division-III schools would love to have a kid who hustles as much as Stampley.
