He helped the Eagles post an 18-8 record a season ago. Turner called last year pretty decent but he’s very excited to be learning the new offensive system at Tampa Catholic. He’s familiar with some of the older guys at Tampa Catholic including highly recruited 2017 prospect Kevin Knox as the two played on the same AAU team when Turner was in 7th grade.
Turner ranks No. 51 in the Prep Hoops 2018 rankings.
Here’s what he’s looking to improve the most this summer and beyond.
“Right now I’m working on shooting. Coach [Don] Dziagwa puts heavy work in on shooting, so I’m trying to become a reliable shooter but also work on my overall game.”
He plays for head coach Loren Jackson and the Florida Sons on the AAU circuit.
Turner has yet to earn his first offer, but Florida Southern and Sage College are showing interest in him.
This kid is going to fit right in at Tampa Catholic. He isn’t afraid to take it to the rim and has the ability to be a top-end defender. Alongside guard Tai Strickland, Kevin Knox and Bentlee Sanders, the Crusaders have some pure athletes. Expect for Turner to make a big splash in his debut season at Tampa Catholic.
