Kiir had this to say about his junior season.
“This past season was the best season I had so far,” Kiir told Prep Hoops. “I was more of a role player this year and I believe I played my role very well which helped the team have a very solid season. The things I learned from the older guys were that time goes by really fast and you have to take advantage of the situation you are in now. Also, to always work hard.”
He’s ranked No. 15 in the Prep Hoops 2017 rankings.
How would Kiir break down his own game?
“I play the 4-5 stretch four mostly. I’m a really great back to the basket player and also have a great face-up game. I can shoot the ball very well in and out of the perimeter. I’m really patient in the post and can handle the ball and also run the floor really well. I’m looking to get better with my left hand and being a consistent 3-point shooter.”
Kiir plays for his high school coach Loren Jackson at Victory Rock and for his AAU team, the Florida Sons.
Currently, the rising senior holds seven offers from VCU, Louisville, Illinois, Cincinnati, NC state, UNLV and Clemson.
This kid uses his length to his advantage and isn’t afraid to mix it up down low. Expect Kiir to draw more high-end Division-I offers as the season approaches. He is a legitimate talent who is only getting better.
