He can score from all over the floor, has leadership qualities that are going to only progress, he is a defensive specialist and has athleticism for his size. He plays on the prestigious Garner Road Basketball Club out of Raleigh on the Adidas circuit.
Of all the kids that I have seen in the 2020 class in North Carolina, McCorkle is at the top athletically. The two biggest parts of his game, McCorkle states are “my athleticism and shooting is a big part but I think I’m an underrated ball handler.” He will over and over knock down a shot from anywhere on the court if you don’t guard him or he will go right by you if you guard him to close. He is extremely athletic and plays above the rim.
McCorkle has already got to experience college campuses and stated, “the second live period is going very well for me, I’ve heard from Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Wake Forest, right now I wanna try to get an offer by the end of summer.”
At Broughton HS, McCorkle will suit up for one of the best teams in the NCHSAA. Coach Jeff Ferrell will be entering his 18th year at the helm and won the eastern regional title in 2013. “This high school season I would love to get good minutes on varsity and win games.
