“I describe my game like an Isaiah Briscoe with a better jumper,” Franklin said. “I love passing the ball and creating for my teammates and getting to the rim and finishing.”
Franklin played a solid role in the Dragons’ success last season. The athlete did what he had to do night-in and night-out to help his team win. He says he goals are to stay strong in the Region.
“My goal is to remain kings of the 6th Region by going to Rupp (Arena),” Franklin told me. “I want to also hopefully set some assist records.”
Franklin played for Next Level AAU in the beginning of the summer. He said he was solid.
“I started the summer with Next Level, and during July I decided to just do personal workouts,” Franklin stated. “But I had a solid beginning to the summer.”
In the classroom, Franklin says he studies hard.
“I finished my sophomore year with a 3.2 GPA and have been studying hard to get a high score on the ACT,” Franklin said.
Although he doesn’t have any offers yet, Franklin says he has been shown interest from Kentucky Wesleyan, Miami Ohio and recently from Kent State, and says that more coaches and programs should start to reach out because he has what it takes to play at the next level.
“I have what it takes to play at the next level,” Franklin stated. “College coaches will love my game. I’ve worked hard on my body and jump-shot off the dribble to make defenders have a harder time defending me.”
