Standing 6-foot-4, Pack is a catch and shoot scorer. A high basketball IQ coupled with a soft shooting touch allowed the rising junior to be one of the most productive scorers in the Mid-State 3-A/4-A Conference this past season.
So far with his travel team this summer Pack is averaging nearly 27 points per game and has eclipsed the 30-point plateau over five times. Pack is a scorer, blessed with the ability to make buckets from all over the floor.
PrepHoopsNC caught up with the sharpshooter this week and he let us know how his summer is going and what is in store for next season.
PrepHoopsNC- How is your 2nd live period going? Who all have you heard from recently and who has offered up until now?
Andy Pack- The second live period went really well. No offers yet but talking to a bunch of mid major schools. (Elon, CofC, UNCA, etc)
PrepHoopsNC- What are your goals for the summer and next season at your high school?
Andy Pack- My goal for the rest of the summer is to put on 10 pounds of muscle and my goals for next high school season is to make a run at state.
PrepHoopsNC- What are you looking at in a school when you make that decision?
Andy Pack- The main thing I look at in a school is their academics, if they are the right fit for me and where they are located.
PrepHoopsNC-What are the most important parts of your game and can you explain your game to me?
Andy Pack-Most important aspect of my game is my ability to score the ball in many different ways… But I’m a true shooting guard and a great athlete.
Mid-State Conference rival Northwest Guilford HS head coach Lee Reavis had this to say about Andy Pack, “Andy is terrific player that can score the ball at all 3 levels and has really improved his shooting range and now has “in the gym range”.
