Aaron Rountree played at Wake Forest, Sam Hughes at UNC-Asheville, Jalen Harris played three years and is now at New Mexico, Logan McLane is at Miami (OH), and Aaron and Ashley Williams at Western Carolina University.
Elijah McCadden, a class of 2018 shooting guard has transferred to Greenfield School from Rocky Mount Academy where he was named to All-Area Boys’ Basketball team by The Rocky Mount Telegram first team and averaged 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists per game last season. He has offers from Wake Forest, Charlotte and Old Dominion including interest from mid- and high-major schools, including other ACC and SEC programs,
McCadden is ranked in the top 10 of PrepHoopsNC Class of 2018 and is known for his length and ball handling. Standing 6-foot-5, he is a big point guard who can score from all three levels on the floor. His size makes him hard to guard and allows him to be a defensive stopper. He is very athletic and was constantly double-teamed much of last season but still managed to score at will or find open teammates.
McCadden played this summer with the 16U Boo Williams-Chiz team out of Virginia on the Nike EYBL circuit where he has had a solid spring/summer.
At Greenfield School he will join up with PrepHoopsNC #1 2018 recruit and recent North Carolina Tar Heel commit Coby White, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard/point guard. With the addition of McCadden, Greenfield boasts two of the top 10 players in North Carolina in the 2018 class.
Rob Salter has led Greenfield School to four NCISAA state championships. Last season Greenfield School finished at 15-15 but with the addition of McCadden and the return of Coby White should return Greenfield to prominence in the tough 1-A NCISAA league.
