Henderson had this to say about last season and what he expects for his junior campaign with the Wildcats.
“Last year I learned a lot from the older guys. I learned how to play tougher and how to lead my team. By playing against them in practice every day, it helped my confidence grow. Our team for this season is young, and I’m expected to be a leader.”
How would he describe his own game?
“I’m a combo guard who can play the small forward position as well. My biggest strength on the court is my length. It helps me disrupt plays and score over smaller guards. I have good vision and am willing to do anything a coach asks of me. I’m looking to make my jump shot more consistent and to get stronger, which will allow me to take the bump and contact on the court.”
Henderson plays travel ball for Team Breakdown 15U.
“Everything is going well, I like the way we play and the family atmosphere.”
Henderson has yet to receive an offer, but interest should be brewing up as he furthers his progressions. At the very least, Division-II or Division-III schools should be more than willing to give him an opportunity.
