That’s because the 6’2,173-pound 2018 PG lives in another time zone (Pensacola), and where football is king.
But Cowart proved he was worth seeing last week at the HoopSeen Atlanta Jam. He averaged a wowing 13 points, ten rebounds and five assists for CP 25 Southeast Elite 16U squad. Talk about versatility.
Cowart can simply impact the game in a variety of ways. He has an elite frame. Cowart displays supreme passing ability, is a one-man fast break and can rebound exceptionally well for his size. He’s a phenomenal finisher. He’s also a great defender who’s disruptive on the ball with his long arms and high motor. He possesses a tight handle. Cowart is quick off the dribble for his lengthy frame and a crafty scorer.

He averaged an impressive 17 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals a game in leading Pensacola to 32 wins and the 6A state semifinals for the first time since 2009- as only a sophomore.
Cowart holds no offers or interest. He feels overlooked.
“I feel I’m very underrated,” Cowart said. “No one gets to see me play because I’m in Pensacola. This is a predominantly football oriented place, but there’s a lot of talent here.”
Expect Cowart to open some eyes and garner attention in the near future.
