Dillard’s Four-star 2017 point forward Raiquan Gray raised his stock on Sunday.
After helping the Florida Vipers to a 4-0 record by averaging 10 points and eight rebounds at the UAA Session 1 in New York City, he grabbed an offer from Ole Miss.
“It felt great to get an offer the circuit,” Gray said. “I like the freedom Ole Miss gives their players on the court.”
The 6’8, 235 pound specimen has an intriguing frame. He possesses a meaty frame to bang in the post and the knockdown jumper from the outside to stretch a defense. He’s a skilled passer for his size and an improved handle. Gray can slash to the cup and a versatile stretch four, who’s evolving into a small forward.
He averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in driving Dillard to the Class 6A state championship.
We see him as a High Major prospect.
“I’m a skilled all-around player that can play 1-5,” Gray said. “But I want to develop into more of a wing.”
Gray holds a bundle of D1 offers and the fast-rising prospect will be entertaining a ton of potential suitors this week.
He has an in-home visit planned with Ole Miss today and Virginia Tech tomorrow. Auburn, Illinois, Kansas State, Rutgers and UAB will also stop by this wee. Maryland will swoop by next week.
But a few schools are pursuing him the hardest.
“Kansas State, Ole Miss, and Virginia Tech are really on me,” Gray said.
He detailed what he’s looking for in a potential school.
“I’m seeking the best situation for me and a good environment,” Gray said. ” I plan to take all five of my officials and decide during the high school season.”
