Newsome’s 6’2 2017 PG Nick Stuck is a gritty, old-school guard with crafty scoring ability. He’s a great finisher, solid passer, smooth slasher and has a nice long-range and mid-range jumper. He sets up teammates well on penetration and has a quick first step.
The intelligent Stuck has a 4.9 weighted GPA. He holds no offers or interest from schools. Stuck feels he can still play at the next level.
“I see myself at a high D3 or D2 school,” Stuck said. “I’m looking for schools with high academics. I haven’t been looking into schools. But I will be sending my film out and researching high academic schools very soon. I’m hoping to catch my first offer.”
Stuck described his game.
“I’m an old-school point guard,” Stuck said. “I can shoot a little bit, take it to the rack and I like to dish. I’m a good teammate. Positive, and bring a lot of energy.
Stuck detailed what he’s working on in the offseason.
“I’m working on my pull-up jumper, defense and foot speed,” Stuck said.
Stuck will be playing with the Tampa Titans on the AAU circuit.
