The 6’6, 205-pound wing is a freak of nature. He already holds offers from UF, FSU and UNC for football due to his dynamic playmaking ability as a wide out. He averaged 10 points, and seven rebounds a game on the hardwood. And he starts as a left fielder on the diamond with UF already interested. Oh, and he’s only a freshman.
Goolsby is an intriguing lefty with long arms, elite frame and a 37-inch vertical. He doesn’t take a play off. He has a great feel for the game, finishes through contact, and possesses superior court vision. He’s an explosive finisher, good rebounder, and a knockdown shooter. He reads passing lanes well, is a sure shot blocker and a matchup nightmare. This guy is truly a well-rounded prospect.
Surprisingly, he has no offers for basketball. But he’s drawing interest from UF and FSU.
Brad Augustine, the program director of his AAU team Showtime Hoops, knows his potential.
“He’s a once in a generation type kid,” Augustine said. “He could end up going pro in whatever he wants.”
We see him as a High Major prospect with a high ceiling.
Goolsby is enjoying his youth and letting the recruiting process play out.
‘’I’m not sure which sports I want to play in college yet,” Goolsby said.
Goolsby is still sharpening his game.
“I’m working on my right hand,” Goolsby said. “I want to be dunking on people with my right pretty soon.”
The sky is the limit for Goolsby. We could be witnessing a star in the making.
