The 2017 6’4 215-pound combo guard has an elite build and possesses supreme strength. He’s also an explosive finisher, effective long-range shooter, and a gritty competitor. Bryant has a lightning quick first step, a great rebounder for his size and has a strong work ethic. Defensively, he’s hard to get past with his bulky frame.
Bryant proved his worth this season by averaging a team-high 19 points, four rebounds and two assists a game. He also averaged 31 points in the last four games to spur Oakleaf to the playoffs. Bryant set school records for points in a season (490), points per game in a season (19), and points in a game (40).
Bryant holds offers from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Jacksonville University. He’s drawing interest from FGCU, Vanderbilt, Furman, UCF and USF. He also holds an offer from Tennessee Martin for football, which shows his elite athleticism. We believe with an improved mid-range jump shot; he could raise his stock.
But Bryant’s future is on the hardwood.
“I’m strictly focused on playing basketball,” Bryant said.
He’s a well-rounded kid.
“I have a 3.1 GPA,” Bryant said. “I’m the son of a pastor and believe I’m a coachable young man.”
Bryant highlighted his offseason plan.
“I’m working on my ball-handling skills because I see myself playing the point or 2-guard at the next level,” Bryant said. “I’m always in the gym working on my game.”
He has a long-time favorite school.
“Florida is my dream school,” Bryant said.
Bryant will be running with Team Moam on the AAU Circuit. He presents a ton of upside.
