South Sumter’s 6’3 2017 speedy combo guard showed a nice set of skills. His best asset is being a lockdown on-ball defender. He possesses a knockdown long-range and mid-range jumper. He has a quick release, a high motor, and a nice hesitation pull up. Williams also displayed explosive drives to the rim and high-rising slam dunks. We love his competitive fire and scrappy style of play.
Williams holds an offer fromTexas Rio Grande Valley. He’s drawing heavy interest from Wyoming and Murray State.
He prides himself on being a grinder.
“I love defense and being a hustler,” Williams said.
Williams highlighted what he’s working on in the offseason.
“I’m working on boxing out and moving without the ball,” Williams said.
Williams detailed what position best suits him at the next level.
“I want to play the point or shooting guard,” Williams said.
Williams will be playing with Balkman Elite on the AAU circuit.
“I love playing for Balkman Elite,” Williams said. “They are a fun team and I like the exposure.”
He’s a tough, well-rounded player who should gain traction on the recruiting trail by the end of this summer.
