The 6’6, 205-pound 2017 sharpshooter proved it this past week at the HoopSeen Atlanta Jam. He shot over 50 percent from beyond the arc and averaged 13 points a game in guiding Team Speights to the championship game.
After holding no offers or interest, he suddenly gained interest from UNF, Louisiana Tech, Murray State, and USF.
He averaged 16 points and eight rebounds a game in helping Sickles reach the 7A region quarterfinals.
Beamer has an intriguing frame and build. He’s a knockdown shooter with unlimited range. Beamer can also slash off the dribble, rebound well, and finish effectively. Beamer has a ton of upside wearing a size 18 shoe. Doctors project that he may grow to 6’9. That kind of size for a shooter is very alluring.
“I want to be a stretch four that can shoot,” Beamer said. “My game all depends on how much I grow. I can play 1-4. “
Beamer detailed his offseason plan.
“I’m working on creating shots off the dribble,” Beamer said. “That’s important for a shooter. I want to strengthen that part of my game.”
He’s enjoying the exposure.
“Playing for Team Speights has helped me show up on the radar,” Beamer said.
Expect Beamer to have a breakout summer.
