He’s seen some interest from one Illinois Division III school, but that’s it for now.
“The only school showing me interest has been Blackburn College, they text me and asked for my transcripts, and want to set up a visit for me. They saw my highlights online and liked them,” said Green, who mentioned why he may be flying under the radar.
“I think it’s because I never really played on a big AAU team so I’ve been overlooked. I hope I can get a couple schools to look at me and offer by the end of the season. I’ve got the grades and everything, I just hope I get an offer.”
PHF’s 154th-ranked 2016, Green talked about his abilities on the court, and where it is he’d like to see improvements.
“My ability to shoot the ball and play defense is what I’m best at. I’m very quick on my feet. I’m working on getting mentally stronger for the next level, and I’m working on my body weight. I’m 160 now, and I’m lifting every day, I’m trying to get to 175 at least,” said Green.
“Every team I play they know I can shoot, so I can take them off the dribble and get to the rack for an easy and-one call. And if I add weight I can do that better and nothing will fade me.”
Green went of to explain to PHF what his role was with the Dreadnaughts this season.
“The just needed me to score the ball every night and score 15-20 points every night,” said Green. “I thought I played great this season, I have great coaches and great players around me.”
