“The offers I’ve picked up since then (July) have been Brown, Yale, Central Florida, and that’s it,” said the 6-foot-7 small forward.
“I’ve got other interest from Kansas State, Florida State, Miami (FL), Wisconsin South Florida, and Ivy League schools like Harvard and Princeton.”
“It’s mostly phone calls, and then Kansas State has come and watch a couple of my games.”
Strong says he plans to play with the Florida Vipers again this summer for his 17U season. And though he’s happy with the way his recruitment is materializing, he’s hoping to see some more offers come his way.
“Honestly, I’m blessed for what I have right now, but I feel like I could do a lot more, and get a lot more offers, which is what I’m hoping to do this year,” said the talented, and cerebral wing.
He talked about the possibility of attending an Ivy League school to play hoops.
“I do see myself doing that, but right now it could be a high-major, or an Ivy League,” said Strong. “I’m really not sure at all – but that’s definitely a possibility.”
As his junior season comes to an end, Strong says his game has evolved on the perimeter.
“Since summer I’ve been putting in a lot of work, my shot and my handle has gotten a lot better. And my IQ for the game has gotten a lot better, and I’ve just been doing what I can do to help the team,” said Strong, who says he’s working to be as versatile defensively as possible.
“I just want to be able to guard the guard position, so that no matter where they put me I’ll be able to guard it,” said Strong. “And I want to keep on improving my leadership and my motor, and that’s really it.”
