The 5-foot-10 2018 will play with Tampa Fastbreak this spring and summer, and after little exposure this high school season, he’s hoping to gain some notoriety this offseason.
“My goal is to become known, and get my name out there,” said Hale.
“I’ve heard of a couple colleges looking at me, but I haven’t really talked with any coaches yet; University of Tampa and Alcorn State sent me emails at the beginning of the season.”
Hale cited shooting as his best strength, and he takes pride in his defense. He mentioned his playing style and weaknesses to PHF.
“I can shoot it pretty well, and I’m a scoring point guard,” said Hale.
“I’m working on finishing with my left hand. I’m starting to dribble up the court with my left hand, and just working on my moves.”
While coming off the bench for the Phoenix, playing behind upperclassmen, Hale says his role was more limited than he would have liked as a sophomore.
He’ll work hard this spring and summer to earn a larger role with his team next winter.
“My role with the team was to hustle on defense. I did give it my all when I was out there, but I didn’t feel like I got the opportunity to really show what I’m capable of.”
