The 6-foot-1 Newsome point guard has heard a little bit from Rollins, but that’s about it as of now.
He’s played with the Tampa Titans during his past grassroots seasons, and the junior point guard realizes that this summer – his 17U season – will be integral to his recruitment.
“Definitely my recruitment is very important, and also keeping my grades up too, I have good grades right now,” said Stuck. “I know during the summer recruitment is really big, I know I should email some schools here during the winter to come and see me play in tournaments during the summer – that’s really important.”
Stuck – a 6-foot-1 point guard – explained to PHF what his strengths are as a player, and what it is he’ll be working to improve this winter.
“My strength is definitely my mind, the least mistakes wins games, and I like to consider myself an old-school point guard. I like to get 10 points, 6 assists, and 5 assists per game and to limit my turnovers,” said Stuck.
“I pass the ball pretty well, and I handle the ball pretty well, and I’m a pretty solid shooter from the outside too. I’m working on bulking up right now, and I’m lifting a lot of weights, I’m little skinny right now.”
His Wolves are off to an 8-4 start to the season, but Stuck says they – and he – can be better.
“I’ve been playing alright, but I’m not being as aggressive as I should be, I think I need to score more,” said Stuck. “They definitely need me to be a leader on the floor, and to bring energy and everything I have each night.”
