The 6-foot-1 guard, in addition to the two offers, sports some additional D1 interest, and he’s eager to get out on the 17U grassroots circuit with Showtime Ballers.
“While I’ve been at Orlando Christian Prep, Stetson has come to see me, I’ve heard from them a lot. Central Florida has come to see me twice, they haven’t offered though, and then Fairfield has come to see me,” said Corcoran.
“And I got one phone call from TCU before the season, and they said they’d come to see me, but they haven’t yet.”
He added: “I expect my recruitment to go really good starting this first live period. I’m just working on my game a lot, and looking to lead my 17U team to summer. I’m just going to make the most of it, and I’m thinking things will go very well.”
PHF’s 50th-ranked 2017, Corcoran transferred into Orlando Christian this season after spending his previous seasons with Liberty Christian Prep.
“Liberty Christian was good, but I wasn’t confident there. And over the summer with Showtime Hoopers I became a different player. And I knew that Orlando Christian Prep needed guards, where at Liberty they already had a lot of guards, so I decided to transfer,” said Corcoran.
“On that team I’m looked at to get buckets and to help lead the team. I play a lot of minutes, so I’m in shape, we have a short bench. But overall, things are going good.”
The talented junior went on to describe his playing style to PHF.
“My strength right now is my pick-and-roll pull-up, and finding an open teammate. And I like my pull-up off the dribble a lot,” he said.
“What I need to work on the most is my ball-handling and my upper body strength. My dribbling has improved, and my upper body is getting better – a lot of pushups and pullups. I’m just focused on finishing better at the rim, and that will help.”
