Allen was one of the most dominant players in the 17u division this past weekend. In games I watched he could nearly go get a bucket when he pleased. The 6’2 guard is a very athletic slasher and paired with his ability to handle to ball makes him a tough player to defend. He was often shifting his defender with his handle and finishing through or above traffic in the paint. Can create both separation and initiate contact to create an advantage when handling the ball. His ability to create off the bounce and convert on tough or awkward finishes is a very strong asset in his game. He’s a capable shooter and will knock down the triple off the bounce or off the catch.

We mentioned yesterday in our “Stock Risers” article that Enid has a few 2025 prospects that we’re keeping an eye on moving forward. Zyire Allen Zyire Allen 6'1" | CG Enid | 2025 State OK is another example of that based on seeing him earlier this season. The 1-2 punch of Allen and fellow 2025 standout Tre Davis Tre Davis 6'7" | PF El Reno | 2025 State OK is going to be a strong duo to keep an eye on moving forward. While Davis has the potential to be a dominant big man, Allen can be a standout guard that can do a variety of things on the offensive end of the floor. In one of the games that we watched earlier this season, Allen had his shot falling from beyond the arc but you can’t categorize him as just a shooter. He also did a good job of getting his teammates involved with unselfish play. He also has the athleticism to drive to the basket and finish. And when you add in the fact that he also has Davis roaming the paint, when he attacks the rim, he’s going to have some serious help and that puts more stress on a defense.
