Chad Graham | Prep Hoops Scout
Rothwell is presently part of a rotation of forwards for Sallies, but it tough to keep him off the floor due to his feel as a connector and his rebounding. He doesn’t need post touches because he can and will grab it off the offensive glass. And when he does catch the ball with an advantage, he simply knows where to go with it, whether that’s keeping the ball moving or driving to the cup. Even defensively, Rothwell can contain certain matchups in space or use his leverage to guard taller forwards in the post.

At first glance, Rothwell dominates on the boards with his strength and length, getting every second-chance opportunity. But with a closer look, he’s also a really good passer who can kick-out to shooters or enter the ball to the low post.

An easy choice for Defensive Player of the Game honors, Rothwell was by far the most physically and athletically advanced prospect we saw and put those tools to good use with a steadily-revving motor. He was all over the floor as a shot-blocker, rebounder, and transition scorer while showcasing some skill and footwork around the rim to go along with his athletic tools. Rothwell showed workable touch at the foul line and should be a capable contributor from day one in the Sallies’ rotation.
