A full year back from injury and now with no brace, Merced is quietly turning into one of the more versatile forwards in his class. Of course, he can score with his back to the basket and clean the glass. He even does the little things like make the extra pass and give up his body on hustle plays. But Merced can also space the floor from distance, drive from different spots to the cup, and create some havoc on defense. Then, once he’s in the open floor, the under-the-radar forward can get off the ground and put two hands on the rim for dunks.
