Zander is a part of a very talented Indiana Impact team that went undefeated in its last two tournaments. And he plays an important role in their starting lineup.

Zander plays well in transition, and defenses would be wise not to give him any open looks, because will always convert.

He’s good when faced with pressure. In his game against Common Bond , he showed his capacity to beat double-teams and triple-teams. He also showed no hesitation in laying it off the glass with both his right and left hand.

His entire time is elite on defense, and Zander in particular is an elite ball-defender.

There is a new wave of talent coming through Jimtown High School with a trio of sophomores ranking second, third, and fourth in the scoring column for the Jimmies. On Tuesday night it was Whitaker who stepped up and went a perfect 4-4 from deep on his way to 21 points as Jimtown defeated Elkhart Christian 59-40. The Jimmies are 10-4 on the season.

The most under-the-radar name from the list I gathered on Saturday comes from Jimtown High School, 2028 wing Zander Whitaker Zander Whitaker 6'2" | SG/PG Jimtown | 2028 IN . A player that just seemed to understand spacing, the 6’1 prospect just seemed to find a way to be at the right place at the right time. Scored well off of easy dish-offs, felts he was good around the lane, and showed a true jumper from behind the arc. I was really impressed with Jimtown in the game I watched and Whitaker was a big part of that.

The mixture of size and athletic ability that Zander Whitaker Zander Whitaker 6'2" | SG/PG Jimtown | 2028 IN possesses is impressive for his 2028 Class. He is someone with longer arms, great speed from side-to-side, and he understands how to pick and choose his spots. He knows where rebound is going to come off of the rim and where it is going to go a majority of the time, giving him a solid advantage in that department against most teams. He has also displayed that he can put the ball on the ground and score from all three levels off the drive at a consistent rate as well. If he continues to ball out and work on the glass on both sides of the ball, he is going to be a star somewhere down the line in his future.
