Usrey Martin has really picked up his recruitment with four offers since June from Defiance, Trine, North Central Michigan and Alfred. Usrey had a strong junior season for Clay who should be conference title contenders if they can stay healthy this season. Usrey Martin also made waves with Hoop Nation in the spring, being named third team all Recruit Look Circuit from the Dayton showcase. Expect big things from the Toledo area forward as a senior!

I’ve become a fan of Usrey Martin as he continues to impact the game when I watch him play. Whether he’s playing on the prep hoops circuit or in a showcase, Usrey Martin can use his length and size to score on the interior, rebound the ball and play above the rim. I also loved the big to big actions Usrey Martin had with Elian Arick Elian Arick 6'10" | C Buckeye Trail | 2026 State OH , the duo connected for a couple of assists to each other. One of a few new faces at Oregon Clay, they were well represented at the Expo and look like a team to watch in 2025-26.

Usrey is a strong, athletic forward who brings power and toughness to the interior. He runs the floor well, can finish above the rim in transition, and has the strength to post up smaller defenders in the half-court. Coming off a strong sophomore season at Emmanuel Christian, he’s poised to take another step forward this year. With his size, energy, and improving skillset, Usrey has the chance to be a major presence at this event.

Able to play above the rim in transition and post up smaller defenders in the half court, Usrey Martin makes life easier for his guard teammates. Taking a step as a sophomore for Emmanuel Christian, Usrey Martin was named honorable mention all-conference, and I expect another jump this season.

The size of Hoop Nation was a major factor and Ursey Martin used that to grab a handful of offensive rebounds for extra shot opportunities for his team. His height also gives him long strides which allowed him to get behind the defense and finish uncontested on the fast break. The highest of the game came when Ursey Martin came down the lane and threw down a big time slam dunk to cap off a dominant win for his team.
