Powell impressed at ‘The Challenge’ and New Albany has had a competitive season in a tough OCC division, might be a sleeper team to make some noise in the playoffs.

Powell also stood out at the All Ohio Season Opening event but this was a second time to catch him do similar things and further cement his status as somebody who will be added to the rankings during the next update. Powell knocked down three 3-pointers in the first 10 minutes of game action as New Albany really dominated from start to finish. Also showed off his bounce with a rim grazer dunk as well. A wing forward who can shoot is something many Division III programs look for and Powell fits this description.

Powell stands at 6’5 and can shoot it, which will get small college programs interested. Powell needs to get in the weight room and improve his toughness, but a college program can help him with that. Based on his height, shooting and basketball IQ, I think his best basketball is ahead of him. New Albany took a disappointing loss in their opener but with Powell, Sam Dunn and some other younger pieces, the Eagles should have a competitive season in the OCC.
