in the ODAC as he has committed to Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden Sydney, Va. The Tigers, one of the most successful programs at the Division III level, are getting a 6’1″ floor general who they believe is the future of their backcourt in years to come.

is a pass-first guard who is perfect for everything Hampden-Sydney is about. At 6’2″, White is an elite ball handler whose size and athleticism spreads the floor nicely for Covenant Day. He is an underrated rebounder who competes on the defensive end of the floor even when he’s undersized. I think the next step in White’s game is becoming more aggressive as a scorer without losing his pass-first mentality. If he can be a double digit scorer around the 10-12 ppg while still averaging his usual 6 apg, this is a prospect who can lead Covenant Day to a deep playoff run and set himself up nicely for his upcoming tenure with the Tigers.
Similar to Newkirk at W&L, it’s hard to say now just how much time White will see on the floor at the collegiate level in 2025. The Tigers have a talented roster anchored with productive guards who distribute and take care of the basketball. There is no doubt that White will have every opportunity in practice to earn meaningful minutes when he steps on campus, but it might take some time. With that being said, I’m excited to see this prospect finish out a great career at Covenant Day and take the next step to college ball.

White is an all-around floor general who’s shown he can lead the way rebounding just as well as playmaking for Covenant Day School. He’s due to make an impact this season after producing 8.6 points, 5.6 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game with his strong-frame on the hardwood. He holds offers from Dean College, Randolph College as well as heavy interest from Hampden-Sydney College heading into the 2024-25 season.

Tyree has been a consistent point guard regardless of the setting or competition. He demonstrates toughness, navigates gaps effectively, and scores with patience. His passing ability, particularly in pick-and-roll situations, stands out. He plays off two feet well and scores efficiently against bigger defenders. Coaches should take a closer look at him in July and this upcoming high school season, as he impacts the game in winning ways on both ends of the floor.

White is an emerging floor general to get to know with
Cap City Charlotte
as he looks to put them on the map on the independent scene. He’s a point guard who put on quite the performance as a new face in the Covenant Day School rotation on the NCISAA stage in 2023-24. He’ll look to continue to showcase his talents as a pace creator and attacker off the bounce alongside

Tyree was one of the top True PG prospects in the gym on Saturday for the Phenom Queen City Showcase. He is a terrific passer and has his head up at all times reading defenses and looking for an open teammate. He also has a good handle and is near unpluckable with the ball in his hands. While he is certainly pass-first, he can also get his own bucket when needed. He put up a strong 12 points and 6 Assists in a win over NPLB on Saturday Afternoon.

White makes his debut at No. 42 in the latest rankings update for the 2025 class. He led the Covenant Day School offense this season at the floor general role, producing 8.6 PPG, 5.6 APG, 5.1 RPG and 1.8 SPG as a new addition to their rotation. He took the NCISAA by storm with his pedigree at the floor general role and has a bright future ahead of him over the next few months as grassroots basketball heats up.

White is fitting right in over at Covenant Day School at the floor general spot. He’s shown he can distribute to others as he dishing out 5.0 APG to go along with 5.8 PPG, 6.3 RPG and 3.0 SPG. He’s a shifty floor general who knows how to make his presence felt on both ends of the floor. Colleges on all levels would be wise to get eyes on him given his ability to fill up the stat sheet.

White is a name that should continue to get traction as a point guard for D2 and D3 schools with his reclass to 2025 and his all-around skillset. He’s a strong-bodied guard who has great vision and IQ and runs the show for his group. He may not have gaudy scoring numbers, but he works hard to lead his group, and facilitates efficiently. He rebounds the ball extremely well for his size, sticking his nose in and fighting hard. He also had 5 steals in their win against NRCA this weekend, showcasing a nose for the ball on defense as well.

White is a true point guard with the tools needed to make his teammates better. He’s got great raw vision, seeing things that many others at his age do not have yet. He threaded the needle for full court passes, made good reads with traffic in front of him, and took care of the ball. He’s got good game IQ to know when to push it and when to hold off and let the game flow a bit. He was directing the show all day so we didn’t get to see him look to score as much, but I really liked how unselfish he was. At 5’11, he’s not ideally sized, but makes up for it in a sturdy frame that keeps him stable against larger defenders. He should be a name for coaches to reach out to if they’re looking to expand their backcourt.
