Rivens is an underrated shooting guard prospect in the state of North Carolina who continues to impress on the PH radar. He’s a lengthy 6-foot-3 shooter who knows how to utilize his size to his advantage, maneuvering through defenses for tough buckets inside the arc as well as open ones on the perimeter. He’s due for a strong year in the Providence Day School backcourt in 2024-25.

Rivens played a big part in the Lions going 3-0 this week against tough foes, beating Charlotte Country Day, Providence Day, and Christ School. He had 14 in the tight win over PDS, and 22 to lead all scorers against Christ School. He’s a shifty combo guard that has really developed his mid-range touch and playmaking in that area. He’s shown he can step out and hit the perimeter jumper, but still needs to work on his efficiency. He takes a lot of difficult shots, and makes most of them.

Rivens was an electric scorer every game for his group this weekend, solidifying his status as a big name in the 2025 class. He scored the ball efficiently at multiple spots on the court, including from deep and in the mid-range. He showed good touch on his jumpers and was able to get good quality shots off the bounce and the catch. The offense flowed through him, but he didn’t tend to hold the ball for too long and stagnate the team as a whole. He’s really solid as a scorer and focal point in an offense, but can see him thriving as a second or third option at a higher level. He’s a guy to monitor through the summer and during the high school year.
