Behind a countless number of loud and explosive scoring performances, Lecator routinely proved he’s more than capable of getting to his spots and scoring from multiple different areas on the floor as an aggressive bucket getter— knocking down open three point attempts as a spot up threat while also diversifying his scoring arsenal, attacking the lane for soft runners and crafty finishes through traffic with strong body control around the rim, and showcasing a smooth mid range pull up game off the bounce in the in between area.

A guard who’s flown under the radar up until a masterful and head turning showing this past weekend to kick things off at the Metro Classic, Tymear Lecator Tymear Lecator 6'1" | PG Salem | 2027 State NJ delivered a standout performance that demonstrated his ability to get hot and score from multiple different spots on the court. An impressive 31 point performance saw Lecator consistently bury open looks from three point range as a spot up shooter while also getting in the lane to convert on soft touch runners and crafty finishes in traffic. Lecator displayed an interesting blend of sound footwork, versatile soft shooting touch, excellent body control around the basket, and an ability to remain an unselfish and willing passer.

The breakout star of the day was undoubtedly Lecator, who delivered a huge performance for his Salem squad which was a last-minute fill-in to the schedule. A slender guard with nice length and a fun hop in his step, he erupted for 31 points, refusing to let the Rams quit in a spirited loss to state power Rutgers Prep (NJ). He saved 23 points for after halftime, highlighted by six made 3s in a timely display of his feathery shooting touch. We’ll look forward to tracking Lecator through sectional playoffs and heading into the spring and summer.
