He does a good job creating space off the dribble, using his handle and change of pace to generate his own offense. Alusma also plays with a high basketball IQ, demonstrating a strong feel for the game and good decision-making with the ball in his hands. With better-than-average quickness and a confident approach, he is capable of leading the offense and putting pressure on opposing defenses.

Alusma is as cool as they come. He is extremely mature for his age, playing with an even keel demeanor as he rarely shows emotion on the floor. He plays at his own pace and does so while playing up at the 17U level. Tristan gets to his spots, hitting floaters and threes off the catch. Alusma is a competitive defender who will pick up 94-feet. He is the perfect fit at North Gwinnett, able to provide stability at the point guard position starting from Day 1.
