LJ is a shifty small guard who can handle the rock, has paint-touch ability, and playmaking feel. He changes direction well, gets defenders leaning, and uses his quickness to put pressure on the rim. He also showed touch off the bounce and the ability to drive and spray the ball to teammates once help commits. His scoring tools allow him to create offense for himself and others despite his size. The next step is controlling pace and consistently choosing the best read after he gets an advantage. Defensively, he showed this but will need to be more consistent in making his quickness matter through ball pressure, active hands, and determined screen navigation. His offensive creativity is clear; pairing it with reliable point-of-attack defense and disciplined decisions will make him a more complete lead guard option headed into the season.

Allen continued to impress on Saturday, scoring 17 points in his second game of the day after starring for North Gwinnett during the June live period in our last evaluation. The quick, skilled scoring guard has excellent command of the basketball and can score at all three levels. He displays good footwork and creativity finishing in the paint, plays with a high basketball IQ and pressures the ball effectively on defense. Allen is an under the radar college prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
