Expert Analysis

An athletic “3 and D” prospect for the next level, after averaging a 20 game for Catoosa as a junior he should threaten to score in the mid or even upper 20s on a regular basis for the uptempo Indians. Miller is the type of attacker that is often looking to tear the rim down when he’s given an open lane, or quickly pull from distance. His senior season should be full of highlights as he chases a State Tournament berth before going to Truman State in Missouri.

One of the state’s top seniors is looking to take his game to another level after already averaging 20 points and 8 rebounds as a junior. He’s a strong and explosive athlete, always a threat to punch it in transition or when given an open in the lane in the half court. That paired with his range from deep will make him a monstrous mismatch all winter long in 4A. To go along with the scoring this year, expect his defensive production to sky rocket this year after a strong spring and summer. With the pace Catoosa plays at and the athletic gifts Miller has, games with 5 stocks (steals and blocks) should be a common occurrence.

Miller has long been a strong college prospect for his combination of size and shooting. In the past he’s most commonly shown spurts of good athleticism with clear lanes in transition or alley oop opportunities. Today, he looked physically stronger and quicker. He made use of those improvements with strong powerful drives, more willing to take and finish through contact. His ability to hit from three point range remains strong, and if he continues to more often play to size as a rebounder, finisher and shot blocker, Miller will be one of the top “steals” for regional small colleges.

Game Watched: Iso JoernWhile Miller is a quality shooter, it was good to see him find new ways to impact a higher level contest. It started with a pair of steals from jumping passing lanes for scores. The second in particular was impressive as he jumped the pass, showed some burst to accelerate away from defenders and finish with authority at the rim. His improved finishing ability with strength and skill were on display all contests, attacking when presented open lanes or cutting to opens when off the ball.

A sniper with interesting upside thanks to size and some leaping ability. He knocked down threes in both contests, showing why he’s a good catch and shoot threat. But these two games also showed where his biggest step needs to be taken. The defensive side of the ball. With his size, he should be more effective when switching onto bigs and a better rebounder than he was in the two contests that were watched. Against TJ Ford he had moments battling inside and rebounding. But against Tarrant he wasn’t as effective on that end of the court. 6 foot 6 shooters don’t grow on trees, giving upside to Miller’s profile.

can flat out score the ball, from anywhere and everywhere. Miller is easily one of the better wings in 4a and arguably in the state, with his capability to play the off-ball wing or run the offense like a guard, he’s a matchup nightmare for opponents night in and night out. Titus plays with such energy and confidence on the court, that passion is what motors him to be so aggressive on the offensive end consistently poking at holes in the defense looking for an opportunity to score. Millers scoring ability and length and athleticism on the defensive end make him a two-way threat looking to make some major noise this summer and catch the right people’s attention!

And our final prospect is a blend of the “freaky athlete” and “shooting big man” with Catoosa standout

. The Catoosa product really impressed us earlier this season, when we watched him in person, with his ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter. And then you turn around and look at his ability to get above the rim and throw down some very impressive dunks. We think that Miller is one of the more underrated offensive players in Class 4A this season. And that’s saying something when you consider all of the talent that is in Class 4A this year. Miller has Catoosa playing like a tourney team.

showed why he’s considered one of the better junior forwards in Class 4A this season. He would also score 27 points in the win over the Pirates and would also grab 15 rebounds. Catoosa has a very improved lineup and they are putting up plenty of offense so far this season. As mentioned earlier, the Indians will head west to Alva this week for a tournament. Then we will see them in person next week when they host Hilldale.

Miller fits the profile of modern stretch/hybrid forwards with good size mixed with a shooting touch that extends beyond the three point arc. After excelling as a catch and shoot option as a sophomore, Miller had good signs of expand his overall game (finishing at the rim and midrange) this spring and summer. With a good combination of size and skill traits, the Class 4A forward continues to expand his floor game, he has a chance to make serious noise for Catoosa this winter.
