I’ve already detailed Timmy’s performance in my Top Performers article, so there isn’t much left to say here. Simply put, Timmy was one of the quickest players in the game, and was consistently using that quickness to get two feet in the paint and make plays. He could blow by defenders and glide to the rim for lay-ups, or stop on two feet and locate an open shooter out on the perimeter. Timmy opened up so many good looks for his teammates throughout the game.

I continue to come away impressed with Timmy every time I see him play. He may be undersized, but he more than makes up for it with his quickness, handle, and decision making. He started off the first game of the day hot, scoring from all three levels off the dribble. As the defense started to crash, he was great at setting up his teammates with open looks. He could kick out of a drive, find a cutting teammate, or make accurate full-court passes. Thomas has all of the makings of an elite high school point guard and I am excited to see him in his sophomore season.

His open floor push, playmaking, and decision making were high level and there were times that between his ball pressure and creating, Thomas controlled just about every minute when he was on the floor. An outstanding showing.

Timmy is the type of point guard you like to have on your team at these types of events. He’s an unselfish player who excels at creating good looks for those around him. He was constantly beating his initial defender to get into the lane before locating an open shooter as the defense rotated on him. If the defense was slow to adjust, Timmy was getting all the way to the rim for easy finishes. He has such a quick burst to just explode to the basket as soon as a gap presents itself.

Timmy is one of the shiftiest guards in Minnesota’s 2029 class, and at 5’9 he’s fearless attacking the basket. I saw him against 204 Elite 16u and Minnesota Falcons 16u, two teams loaded with length and athleticism. Even playing up a year against that talent, Timmy was finding ways to get into the lane and either finish or draw a foul. Really crafty finisher who can spin the ball in from difficult angles off the glass. Already has a year of varsity experience under his belt at Maranatha.

Timmy turned in a productive weekend with Gain Elite , bringing so much table as a lead guard. He really impressed me with his defense and endurance, as he rarely subbed out but was pressuring opposing ball handlers at all times. Offensively, he ran the point for his team, being such a tough guard with his tight handle and ability to play at different speeds. Thomas is also a knockdown shooter from the perimeter and showed off some nice touch around the basket over larger defenders.

Timmy was the quickest player on the floor in this matchup, and he used his speed to create for himself and teammates. He was at his best when getting to his spots in the mid-range and three-point for pull-up jumpers. He is super tough to predict, as he can pull up in a flash, or use a hesitation to get his defender in the air. Thomas also showed no fear attacking the basket, being able to finish through larger defenders.

Thomas is a dynamic guard with elite handles and limitless shooting range, capable of turning any defender into a highlight reel victim. His ankle-breaking crossovers and sudden changes of pace create space with ease, often leaving opponents on the floor before he calmly drains a shot from well beyond the three-point line. Confident, flashy, and deadly accurate, Thomas is the kind of player who can shift momentum in an instant and force defenses to guard him from anywhere on the court.
