We caught word of Watson coming out of the June scholastic periods and got our first look at the rising freshman guard on Friday. A shifty southpaw, he was effective using his pace and handle to keep defenders off balance while gliding to his spots with consistent separation. Watson shoots a pretty ball with polished mechanics in the pullup game and range out to the arc. While still on the thin side, he has high shoulders and long legs that point to strong potential for future growth. Heading to a guard factory like Neumann-Goretti, Watson should have every chance to blossom into a scholarship-level prospect down the line.
