Another prospect who is trending up after a strong June and July, Madden scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds per contest for Game Elite to finish the 3SSB circuit. The rising junior can really get by defenders and make plays for himself or others. He is an improving perimeter shot maker and provides value on the defensive end of the floor as well.

Game Elite 16U only played 3 games in South Carolina, but Shamar was able to impress college coaches and scouts alike in a small sample size. I checked out Madden in a win over 99 OVR, where he went for 19 points on 8-20 FG plus 6 rebounds and a steal. Shamar was one of the most exciting scorers in the 16U division all week long, possessing a deep bag of scoring moves to get to the rim and his spots in the mid-range. Madden is already an elite scorer inside the arc, so if he can add a consistent three-point shot, he will become a deadly three-level scorer.

On another talented Wheeler team, Madden impressed on Saturday for the Wildcats. Madden can score in a variety of ways and and create his own offense off the bounce. He is very difficult for defenders to stay in front of and is a more than capable shot maker from beyond the arc. He has the ability to be a playmaker as well and displayed a high basketball IQ when making decisions with the ball in his hands. The rising junior should continue his move up the 2028 rankings.

One of the only noteworthy underclassmen on the day, Madden put together an effective outing off the bench despite a lopsided loss to end his sophomore season. Madden came into the game and immediately looked to attack, showing a confident and polished set of attacking moves as a scorer off the bounce. He showed good balance driving to either side and finishing with either hand, along with crisp footwork and soft touch as a finisher near the rim or from intermediate range. The Georgia native has solid positional size with length to continue to grow into moving forward. He looks to be a pretty clear D1 prospect with upside as he shows more in the years to come.

Madden is the next in line of high-level college prospects at Wheeler and continues that tradition with his upside and production. The 6’4 wing brings a strong combination of athleticism, skill, and feel, with the ability to score at all three levels. He moves well without the ball, plays above the rim, and shows a good understanding of the game. With his tools and trajectory, expect Madden to quickly become a well-known name among college coaches.

Playing a major role off the bench for one of the country’s top-ranked teams, Madden is a versatile wing who appears to be “next up” for the Wildcats. The sophomore is effective getting to the rim, excels in transition, and has developed a reliable midrange game. Using his length and athleticism, Madden also impacts the game defensively and projects as one of the state’s top prospects in the 2028 class with significant upside.

A loud offseason resulted in an offer from Auburn in June. With nice size on the perimeter and a well-rounded game, Madden is poised to emerge as a go-to guy for the Panthers his sophomore season.
