Breaking Down the State’s Top Wing Prospects

Our <a href="https://prephoops.com/georgia/rankings/2028-rankings/">Updated 2028 Rankings</a> have expanded to include 136 players in the junior class. Camps, showcases and tournaments during June and July provided plenty of opportunties for our staff to evaluate prospects from around the state. Take a closer look at some of the state's top wings heading into the fall.    Our top ranked prospect in Georgia's 2028 class, Hayes averaged nearly 15 points per game for a talented Atlanta Xpress 16U team. He is a high level athlete with impressive positional size and length on the wing, along with a good feel for the game. Hayes continues to develop as both a perimeter shot maker and playmaker, adding more versatility to his offensive skill set. His combination of physical tools, basketball instincts and continued improvement make him one of the country's top wing prospects.     The No. 7 prospect in our updated rankings, Madden had an outstanding July for Game Elite, averaging more than 16 points and six rebounds per game. He is a skilled scoring guard who can create his own offense off the bounce, using his shiftiness and change of pace to get by defenders and consistently find his way into the paint. Madden is also a capable perimeter shot maker when given open looks and has proven he can impact the game as both a scorer and rebounder from the backcourt.     Jallow has as much long term upside as nearly any prospect in the state's 2028 class. The versatile wing possesses a unique combination of positional size, skill and athleticism, along with impressive inside/outside scoring ability. He can create offense from multiple spots on the floor and has the tools to develop into a consistent three level scoring threat as his game continues to improve.     One of the top scorers in Nike's 16U division, Goines averaged more than 18 points per game for Jet Academy and established himself as one of the more productive offensive players on the circuit. He is an athletic, dynamic scoring guard with the ability to score at all three levels. Goines is extremely shifty off the bounce and difficult for defenders to keep out of the paint, while his high basketball IQ allows him to find ways to create scoring opportunities.     One of the leading scorers for the Georgia Stars this summer, McCullough established himself as a productive and aggressive offensive threat. The athletic scoring wing can create his own offense off the bounce, is a capable perimeter shot-maker and consistently attacks the basket with purpose. He uses his strength and athleticism effectively to play through contact and finish around the rim. Now at Pace Academy for his junior season, McCullough will bring another dynamic scoring option to the perimeter.
