2028 Summer Stock Risers: Shooting Guards

With the summer grassroots season nearly complete and most evaluations done until the fall, the Class of 2028 is gaining more attention and recruitment from college coaches. Several prospects elevated their stock with strong performances throughout the June and July live recruiting periods. Here is a look at a handful of shooting guard prospects in Georgia's 2028 class who did the most to boost their recruiting profile this summer.    The Pace Academy wing led the [program_tooltip program_id='2078446' first='Georgia' last='Stars'] in scoring at over 17 points per game at Nike's Peach Jam. The rising junior is an athletic, scoring wing who is a three level scorer. McCullough is capable of creating his own offense off the dribble and proved he could make plays for others, average nearly 4 assists per game in July. He is one of the state's top prospects on the perimeter.     Another prospect who is trending up after a strong June and July, Madden scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds per contest for [program_tooltip program_id='2863440' first='Game' last='Elite'] to finish the 3SSB circuit. The rising junior can really get by defenders and make plays for himself or others. He is an improving perimeter shot maker and provides value on the defensive end of the floor as well.     Madden's new teammate at Wheeler, Goines is an athletic, scoring guard who can put the ball in the basket at all three levels. The rising junior is very shifty and tough to keep out of the paint. He has good positional, a high basketball IQ and is trending towards being one of the top prospects in the state's 2028 class.     Ward is a skilled, shot making wing with good positional size and good length. He moves well without the ball, has good shot preparation and is capable of creating offense off the dribble. Ward moves well without the ball and knows how to use screens to create scoring opportunities.     Pemberton is an impressive shot maker with deep range who can space the floor. The rising junior moves well without the ball and has improved his ball skills, allowing him to be a more diverse scorer. He is a better than average athlete who is trending up in the 2028 class.
