About Salman

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Lanky forward that can knock down the catch and shoot and also shoot off the dribble. Crash the glass hard and grab rebounds. Rim protection and on-ball defense are good. Can run the floor and really find the open man either in the half court or in transition. Soft touch around the rim. Really strive at the midrange with 1-2 dribble pull ups or hezi pulls.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I want to win, that's just how it is.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play with Powerhouse MN on the Puma Circuit.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

To always uplift teammates. You have to understand that mistakes happen it's not just apart of the game but also life but what you did is in the past and can't fix it so you have to just keep going.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I'm Somali, so all my life I have been called names like pirate so on and so forth but I never let it affect me and who I am. After I picked up basketball in 6-7th grade it was just something I liked playing. It wasn't until 8th grade that I really wanted Basketball to mean something more to me so know I strive to make out. But after I told people and they laughed. Time to prove them wrong.

What type of college are you looking for?

It doesn't matter to me what college i'm looking for D1, D2, D3, Juco, NAIA it doesn't matter, as long as I can play at the next level it would be great. Would love to play for any college.

Cedric Tomes Cedric Tomes Cedric Tomes 6'0" | PG East Ridge | 2026 State MN has handled the vast majority of the scoring load so far this season, but Salman looks like a prime candidate to step up as the season moves along. At 6’5 he has a long frame out on the wing, and a fluid jumper that makes him a threat off the catch or dribble. He never really got into a rhythm on Tuesday night, but still flashed some of that shot creating ability that could allow him to have some big scoring nights when he gets going. Offers a lot of length out on the perimeter defensively as well.
