Analysis: A 6’9” big man, Zanon’s move from Central Catholic to Southridge proved to be a turning point in his development. With increased opportunity and confidence, he transformed from an under-the-radar player into a prospect drawing consistent attention from college programs across the region. Zanon played a key role in Southridge’s strong season, helping lead the team to the top of the Metro League standings while contributing to notable non-league success, including a win over Rainier Beach at the LSI. His presence in the paint, combined with his size and improving skill set, has made him an impactful interior player on both ends of the floor. Recruiting momentum has followed his rise. He currently holds an offer from Willamette University and is receiving interest from Division II programs such as Seattle Pacific University, Cal State San Marcos, and Black Hills State University. Zanon is focused on finding the right overall fit at the next level—prioritizing relationships with coaches and teammates, while also placing strong emphasis on academics and long-term development. Zanon showcased his feel for the game as a smart, skilled post presence. He plays well off screens, creates opportunities for teammates, and understands how to operate within the flow of the offense. A strong rebounder who can also play above the rim, Zanon finished with 15 points, providing steady production and physicality inside.

After spending all of his high school career at private schools so far – he played as a freshman at Catlin Gabel – Zanon will use his senior season at Southridge where the big man figures to play a big part in the Skyhawks success. Surrounded by shooters, the rising 6-foot-9 senior has been effective getting position in the post and getting the ball out to open shooters for looks, while also using his footwork and soft touch to get buckets down low.
