The Saint Leo commit will look to help lead Providence to another state championship this season. Gornto is a high level perimeter shot maker with a quick release, good positional size and above average athleticism. While his perimeter shooting is his biggest strength, he can also attack closeouts off the dribble and finish effectively in the paint.

One of the state’s top shot makers, Gornto helped Tre Mann Elite capture the Puma Pro 16 championship to end the summer. The Providence product has positional size, efficient shot preparation and a repeatable release. He recently picked up an offer from Saint Leo and should see plenty of other schools pick up their recruitment in the coming months.

Another high level shot maker, Gornto put together a productive spring with 1 Family and consistently proved to be one of the team’s top perimeter scoring threats. He possesses a quick, repeatable release and excellent footwork on his jumper, allowing him to get quality shots off in a variety of situations. A better than average athlete with good positional size, Gornto combines skill and physical tools with a competitive edge, playing with toughness on both ends of the floor. He actively hunts scoring opportunities, moves well without the basketball, and understands how to create separation through cuts, screens, and smart positioning.

One of the state’s premier perimeter shooters, Gornto will test his game against elite national competition this spring with Tre Mann Elite on the PUMA Circuit. The junior guard connected on 44% from beyond the arc for Providence, showcasing a smooth, consistent stroke with deep range. He provides immediate floor spacing and will thrive off the attention drawn by other high level teammates, which should lead to even more clean looks. Expect Gornto to be a key weapon and continue proving himself as one of the more reliable shooters in the 2027 class.

Gornto played a key role in helping the Stallions capture a state title, establishing himself as one of the state’s top shooters in the process.
