Scarver is an athletic, active frontcourt prospect who will play a role for a talented Providence team looking to defend its state championship. He is an explosive finisher who plays above the rim, rebounds at a high rate and uses his length and athleticism to alter shots in the paint. For a young frontcourt prospect, Scarver shows intriguing versatility with the ability to grab a rebound and push the basketball in transition. He also flashes touch in the midrange, giving him additional room to expand his offensive game. With his combination of athleticism, mobility and developing skill set, Scarver has plenty of long term upside.

Scarver’s size immediately gives him a presence, but what makes him worth tracking is how much room there is for his game to continue developing. At 6’7”, he can occupy space around the paint while still possessing the mobility to affect possessions away from the basket. Our live evaluation reinforced the value of his physical tools, while his continued skill development will determine how versatile his offensive role becomes. He is already receiving significant attention nationally within the class.
