Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Frigiani, a guard out of the Belmont Hill School in Massachusetts, appears on the Watch List for the second time in this update. Mark him down as another prospect that will be in the rankings next time around, as the 6’1″ guard is one of the better multi-leve scorers in this class. He’s a plus athlete that can get out in transition and finish plays above the rim, is an efficient perimeter shooter in catch and shoot situations, and has the ability to operate as a secondary decision maker with the ball in his hands in the half-court. Defensively, his combination of basketball IQ and athleticism allows him to read plays before they develop and to get into passing lanes to cause deflections or create steals.

Frigiani was one of the better athletes on the floor and really impressed with his all around game on both ends. The 6-foot-1 guard can shoot it from three – and shoots it quite quickly off the catch – but he also always knows what he’s going to do with the rock when he gets it and either drives, shoots or passes right away. He also showed off some really solid athleticism at the hoop and made excellent looks to teammates once the defense came to help. Frigiani was playing up in the 10th grade division today and looked more than comfortable, so I could see him getting legitimate minutes for Belmont Hill this season.

Frigiani is an incredibly high IQ, versatile wing who can do a bunch of different things on the court. His most prolific skill was his post game, where he was able to use fundamental footwork to find openings around defenders but also excellent vision to make kickout passes to teammates. He never held the ball for too long and always knew exactly what he was going to do with it once he got it, either in the post or on the wing. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Frigiani is a freshman on varsity this season at Dover-Sherborn.
