is the big man on campus. Once again, the Duncanville legend lived up to all of the hype that surrounds him and exceeded the expectations that came with it, everything about his game and basketball mentality were on a college level. Holland came out the gate with an abundance of energy and it didn’t take long for everyone on his team and in the building to match it. The senior forward never gave up on a possession, he was all over the floor making play after play after play, Centennial had no answers for Ron’s next level motor, he was consistently the reason for countless second chance shot opportunities and extended plays for the Panthers all night long. Anytime Duncanville needed a bucket they put the ball in

‘s hands, let him take over, and once he got it going there was no stopping this man, Holland created highlight plays as he skied through the lane dunking everything on anyone that was crazy enough to stand in his way, he threw down multiple putback slams, and got to the basket among traffic while finishing with multiple defenders draped over him.

may be the most decorated player in the country and taking home the Mr. Texas Basketball award would be an amazing way to close out his illustrious high school career. I think it’s safe to say that the future Texas Longhorn may be in for his best season yet. Year to year, he has raised his level of play and this season has been no different, he’s already posted a new career high with a 32-point performance against Brennan High School and also has Duncanville off to a hot start this season with a 3-0 record against some of the top teams in the country while dropping an average of 21.6 points and 10 rebounds per game.

, went into fight or flight mode in the second quarter and began to put his fingerprints all over this game. Holland defended the rim, snagged countless rebounds on both ends, and he really brought the energy when he drove through the lane and flushed a one-handed and-one dunk attempt all over Brennan’s interior defense. But Ron didn’t stop there, just two plays later he came back for more and produced what could possibly be the dunk of the year as he attacked the rim with bad intentions and annihilated the defender, nearly jumping over them as he posterized his opponent and created the highlight of the night.

scored in every way possible, he showcased the capability to get to basket in one dribble, he showed off his stop and pop mid-range jumper, he knocked down a trailing catch-and-shoot three-point bomb, he used his hang time, body control, and length to adjust his layup midair, Holland displayed a fluid reverse pivot jump hook, he cleaned up misses and finished second chance scoring opportunities, and he even made the majority of his free-throw attempts. The highly touted forward had the night of his life, putting up a career high 32 points on 13-of-19 makes from the foul line while shooting 58% shooting from the field and snagging 11 boards.
