About Riley
Expert Analysis
Brady Kennedy | Prep Hoops Scout
Brown was a bright spot for Washington County. He is an ultra competitor with great versatility of playing any of the guard positions. Was at his best getting downhill to score at the rim. The ball was in his hands a lot and handled ball pressure pretty well vs Woodford County’s quick guards. Really liked his motor and versatility.

who holds the key to unlocking the offense for the Commanders. Without Brown making shots, teams will play zone against Washington County and limit Baker and Weis by collapsing on them. If Riley has a big offensive year as a Senior, Washington County will be among the top teams in the region with a real shot to get to Rupp Arena.

Riley is one of the best in the state at catch and shoot and catch, shot fake, drive offense. Brown is capable of getting to the rim or shooting 40%+ from three off catch and shoot opportunities. His individual numbers dipped a little after transferring to Washington County but I still think he’ll be a college player when all is said and done.

Brown is the best shooter on the list as he shot 39% from 3 for the season. His overall production took a big hit with his transfer from Thomas Nelson to Washington County. To boost his college stock, he’ll need to show he can attack off the bounce as well as he can shoot from the perimeter.

The best shooter in the group, Riley is nearly a 50% three point shooter in catch and shoot situations and has become more comfortable in the last 18 months at shot faking and putting the ball on the floor. Brown has a deep offensive arsenal and will be a scholarship level player if his defense catches up to his offense.

The Washington County guard has been to our event in the past and usually plays at a high level. He’s a big time shooter who has improved at attacking the rim.

Brown is a high level shooter who shot 43% from three and 90% from the free throw line at Thomas Nelson last season. As a Sophomore, Riley averaged 11 points and 7 rebounds per game and could see more shots coming his way for a Washington County school that has some really good talent this season.
