Lum, a guard out of the Brunswick School in Connecticut, is an athletic and attacking playmaker that does a great job of creating for himself and others in the half-court. He finishes it in a variety of ways around the rim and does a nice job of getting his defender on his hip and then keeping him there as a driver. He’s got good burst with the ball in his hands and the ability to quick change speeds and directions. While he’s got a versatile offensive game, it’s his ability on the defensive end of the floor that really impresses. He’s athletic, strong, quick, and processes the game at a high level, all of which allows him to be a lockdown defender on the perimeter. He’s a high academic prospect that could play from Day 1 in the NESCAC or UAA, but intrigues me as someone who might attractive Division II interest.
