Jean, a guard out of the Brunswick School in Connecticut, climbs to #45 in this update. A long, lean, and twitchy athlete, he does a great job of getting into the paint off the bounce, where his length and burst allows him to finish in a variety of ways around the rim. He can score it over defenders in the mid-range and does a nice job of knocking down shots in catch and shoot situations. He has a scorers mentality, is super competitive, and doesn’t shy away from taking the shot in a big moment. On the other end of the floor, he does a great job of making plays in passing lanes and turning those plays into transition scoring opportunities. He’s a Division I prospect with multiple offers to his name.

Jean stuck out to me with his confidence in by which he gets to his spots off the bounce. He’s wired to score and looks to expose any advantages that present themselves attacking off the catch or off the dribble. His wiry frame mixed with the twitch he has of his backfoot makes him tough to contain without fouling. As he gains an edge and his defender does what they can to recover, Jean possesses great balance stopping on a dime and sticking mid-range jumpers. While the threat of his jumper demands gravity, Jean can use his skinny frame to split defenders in ball screens or get his shoulder by his defenders hip to get downhill where he can finish efficiently and comfortably with either hand. Jean is the type of scorer you see at the playground who can fill up quickly while making it look effortless.

Jean, a guard out of the Brunswick School in Connecticut, ranks #18 among the shooting guards and checks in at #110 overall in this update. The 6’2″ guard has impressive length and plays with great burst in tight spaces. His length is an asset on the defensive end of the floor as he uses it to his advantage to stay in front of opposing guard and to create steals. Offensively, he’s got some wiggle off the bounce and shows a real understanding of how to create space to get into his shot. On top of being a quality finisher around the rim, he’s done a nice job of developing his perimeter jumper, particularly off the bounce. He runs with Castle Athletics on the travel circuit.

Jean impressed with his scoring versatility and accumulated points frequently. He made a few trips to the foul line and converted from there often. He found ways to come up with steals on the defensive side of the ball. Jean has a good sight for the floor and can find others. He is a prospect who intrigues long term.
