Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
The son of new Iowa head coach Ben McCollum may just follow dad to Iowa City as a walk-on, but if he wants to go his own way, he’s another guard who could make an impact at a Division II program down the line. He’s a high IQ, efficient player who can knock down shots off the catch or the dribble. He plays with pace, doesn’t get sped up, and does a good job getting his teammates involved. He averaged 13.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game on 51-41-85 splits.
