Parker is a solid bucket getter, knowing his spots well and how to get his shot off efficiently. The ball is in his hands quite a bit, which leads to a high usage rate. His touch on mid-range shots and around the rim is elite, leading to scoring over 20 a game. His talent is going under the radar and JUCO/NAIA coaches should be all over this guard.

The Port Angeles guard put up big numbers last season and comes into this one as one of the top scorers in the 2A. He can knock them in from each level, utilizes a nice step-back to create space, and shows some playmaking on the defensive end to create transition opportunities.

We’ll keep the smaller school theme running here with a guard from the 2A Port Angeles Roughriders. Nickerson can play both guard spots, is another high-usage player, and a lot of his offensive games stems from his shot-making. He has supreme touch from the mid-range, off the dribble and pulling up, and is a guy that uses his body positioning really well to make up for any mismatch athletically. He put up big numbers last season and should make Port Angeles a tough team to play this coming season.

Parker is a crafty guard who can do it all. He plays hard, always going 100% and giving it his all every play. Against North Mason, Nickerson FILLED the stat sheet. He was doing it all fort Port Angeles, he contributed 26 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and even had 5 steals on defense. I expect him to have more games like this as the season goes on.

I was pretty enamored with Nickerson the first time I saw him. His game strongly mirrors Wyatt Dunning who graduated from Port Angeles after last season. The difference is Dunning is 6’5, and Nickerson is only 6’2. However, Nickerson plays a strong brand of basketball, whether that’s with his dribble, protecting the ball on drives, or hitting the boards. He flashed some serious potential as a scorer last season when given the opportunity, and should have much more of that coming his way with the Roughriders top two scorers from last season moving on.
