Nick Janey Nick Janey 6'6" | PF Poca | 2025 WV is a player a lot of folks are waiting to see this season.  The long athletic forward is certainly intriguing especially for college coaches looking for length and height that is so hard to find.  Janey made a recent move to Poca High School to play this year and that in most opinions will put him in a spotlight especially defensively, knowing Poca’s style.  We can’t wait to start tracking his future progress and highlights.

Janey is an interesting prospect at 48 in every way possible.  Somewhat flying under the radar last year, then making a move to transfer to Poca for this junior season.  He doesn’t have alot of attention as of yet but has tools available to quickly become a household name.  A long and athletic 6’7″ Janey will certainly sure up that back end of Poca’s defense and gain valuable experience to propel him into position to rise in the rankings.

Nick Janey Nick Janey 6'6" | PF Poca | 2025 WV is a recent transfer from Winfield to AA power Poca.  Nick will not only look to have a breakout year but will also look toward a possible trip to Charleston where Poca is no stranger.  Janey’s length could be a problem for many AA opponents with his ability to step away from the paint and stretch a defense.  An offseason of strength training could put Janey in some recruiting conversations very soon as bigs at every level are at a premium.  While Poca’s style of play doesn’t lend itself to huge stat sheets, Janey’s biggest steps towards recruitment will certainly come on the defensive end.
